We have expanded our knitwear collection for the spring and summer of 2019 – new and unique products enhance the existing product range! A combination of different materials and the 3D knitted fabric make the hiking boots the perfect companion for every adventure :)

A closer look at the knitted fabric of the Super Leggera uppers, our 3D knit upper reveals the use of extra-strong, water resistant yarn. This tried and tested method of textile processing has enormous benefits for footwear, and especially for trekking shoes. One simple example is the necessity for a trekking shoe to be stable at the shaft sides and to support the foot. However, the adjacent instep section must be suitably flexible to allow ergonomic movement. Hence, over a space of just a few square centimetres the material is required to exhibit fundamentally different properties, without typical weaknesses at the seams or glued joints that often fail when subjected to constant use. The use of various textures and mesh forms allows us to exhibit exactly the right material properties in exactly the right places; from flexible and stretchable to stiff and supportive.

A fantastic fit and super stability

The "Super Leggera Guide GTX" is the new star of our knitwear collection featuring an innovative combination of suede and knitted fabric. The front section of the hiking boot offers ambitious outdoor sports enthusiasts excellent comfort and freedom-of-movement with precisely fitting snug-fit 3D knitwear fabric. Enhanced stability and a firm ankle-hold are aided with the added strength of leather elements on the sides of the shaft. The tongue section is also framed with attractive leather reinforcements. The metal hooks and eyelets attached to the leather enable the boot to be accurately and reliable laced along the front of the foot.

Protection from wear and water

A watertight, breathable GORE-TEX membrane makes our knitted hiking boots the perfect touring companion, whatever the weather. The grippy Vibram® soles  ensure sure-footed progress in higher alpine terrain and a firm, precise hold as the gradients get steeper. This trekking boot is manufactured for Dachstein in Europe.
